The Philodendron Imperial Red is a gorgeous tropical houseplant known for its striking, heart-shaped leaves that transition from red to green as they mature. New leaves unfurl bright red, then fade to copper or gold, and finally mature to a deep green, often with red or purple undersides. The leaves are large, glossy, and pointed.  Its densely-growing, leathery leaves fan out from a strong central stem. Imperial Red is a non-vining, self- heading, or upright growing Philodendron.
