Goeppertia 'Calathea Makoyana', or Peacock Plant, Brazil native, is an exotic plant with beautiful oval leaves in contrasting green and red-purple colors. Along the leaves are bold, decorative, feather-like markings that resemble a peacock's tail, hence the name! Originally from Brazilian rainforests, Calathea Peacock can thrive indoors. This plant is not well suited for beginners as it demand sconsistent, high humidity, filtered water (not tap), bright indirect light, and even soil moisture, mirroring their jungle floor habitat, while being highly sensitive to changes, making them prone to crispy, brown, or yellowing leaves.  With proper care it makes a wonderful choice for a houseplant and can light up any green space. This plant also helps to purify the air and eliminate common toxins. Peacock plant can grow up to 2 feet in height and its stunning foliage with bold markings can grow up to 12" in length.
