The olive plant said be a symbol of peace, prosperity, wisdom, and longevity in many cultures. It’s scientifically known as Olea europaea, is a slow-growing, broadleaf evergreen tree or shrub native to the Mediterranean, Africa, and China. It is renowned for its gnarled trunk, silvery-green leaves, and its fruit, which is used to produce olive oil and is also consumed. The plant thrives in full sun and well-draining soil, becoming drought-tolerant once established.
In the summer, the plant produces small, fragrant, creamy-white flowers. These flowers are followed by oval, green drupes (olives) that ripen to a blackish-purple color. Remarkably, this plant can live for thousands of years.
This plant 2-3’ tall, rooted in 8” growers pot.

Sunlight: 6+ hours of bright INDIRECT to FULL sunlight. West or south facing is best. The brighter the lighting the more your plant will thrive. It will tolerate low light levels, but expect slower, more leggy growth with sparse, smaller leaves.
Water: Prefer moist, NOT SOGGY, well drained soil. Let soil partially dry before watering it again. Thrives best in humid conditions.
