  • Light: Requires bright, indirect sunlight. Too much direct afternoon sun can scorch the leaves, while too little light makes the plant "leggy" or spindly.

Water: Follow a "drench and dry" method. Water only when the soil is completely dry, typically every 2–3 weeks, and reduce this frequency even further during winter.

Containment: Because the tiny plantlets fall off and root almost anywhere, it is best kept in a pot. In warm climates (USDA zones 9–11), it can quickly take over gardens if planted in the ground

  • United States

While generally legal to own as an indoor houseplant, it is classified as a Category II invasive species in Florida by the Florida Invasive Species Council. It is also considered a high-risk weed in Hawaii, Texas and parts of California.
