The seersucker plant is formally known as Geogenanthus poeppigii and is an eye-catching houseplant named for its distinctively crinkled, textured leaves that resemble seersucker fabric. Native to the Amazon rainforest, it is a popular, low-maintenance choice for indoor greenery. A compact low growing plant, the Seersucker boast broad, oval leaves with a puckered, undulating surface. The top of the leaves is a striking pattern of light, silvery-green and dark green stripes, while the undersides are a deep purple. This plant typically reaches around 12 inches in height and 18 inches in spread, making it suitable for small indoor spaces or hanging baskets.
